The challenge of extremes
Discover with an amazing movie how plants take advantage of the elements... And see it in real conditions. From Arctic ice to the most arid deserts, see and feel from the inside 4 different and surprising extreme greenhouses.
At the end of the domesticated plants area, the attraction "The challenge of extremes" is divided in 2 parts :
- a 5 minutes movie in which the teacher of the park Terra Botanica will present how 4 plants know how to adapt to extreme climatic conditions : pine tree, le cactus, orchid, and et philodendron.
- and from the cinema room, you will see in the background a first overview on the 4 extreme greenhouses that you will visit just after the introduction movie : the mist greenhouse, the tropical jungle, the arid desert, and at least the arctic one !
In each extreme greenhouse, you can watch in real-time plants from the mist (orchid, fern...), tropical plants (creepers, philodendron...), plants from desert (cactus...) and the other ones (celles qui ont besoin du froid pour se développer : aster, lichen).
A unique experience to meet extraordinary plants.
